...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS OVER THE WATERS...

The areas affected include...
  Coastal waters east of Ipswich Bay and the Stellwagen Bank
  National Marine Sanctuary...
  Massachusetts Bay and Ipswich Bay...
  Ocean Waters from the Merrimack River to Plymouth from 40 to 60 NM
  offshore...

At 832 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable
of producing winds to around 30 knots. These thunderstorms were
located along a line extending from 23 nm southeast of Kennebunkport
to 10 nm northwest of Jeffreys Ledge Buoy 44098 to near The Mouth Of
The Merrimack River, moving southeast at 25 knots.

Locations impacted include...
Eastern Point Ma, The Coastal Waters East Of Cape Ann, Mass Bay Buoy
44029, Ipswich Bay, Thatcher Island, Jeffreys Ledge Buoy 44098, Essex
Bay, and Plum Island.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Expect gusty winds to around 30 knots...briefly rough seas and
lightning strikes. Consider heading for safe harbor until these
storms pass.

Frequent lightning is occurring with these storms. If caught on the
open water stay below deck if possible and keep away from ungrounded
metal objects.
