At 405 PM MDT funnel clouds were reported by Emergency Management in Stark County. The showers and weak thunderstorms producing these funnel clouds were moving east to southeast. These funnel clouds were not associated with severe thunderstorms. They are formed by showers or thundershowers when unique meteorological conditions exist. Therefore, the possibility for funnels remains possible through 600 PM MDT, or 700 CDT, for much of southwest into parts of south central North Dakota. These types of funnel clouds are usually short lived, however, they can and occasionally do touch the ground and cause minor damage. Because of this possibility, if you see one of these funnel clouds, take cover immediately. $$ JJS
