Expect a mostly sunny sky today with the exception of some smoke
from Canadian wildfires. Afternoon highs will generally range
from the lower 80s across northeast Minnesota and portions of the
Canadian Prairies, to the lower 90s over portions of eastern
Montana and western South Dakota. A few isolated to scattered
thunderstorms will be possible over the eastern Dakotas and much
of Minnesota this afternoon through the evening.

A warming and drying trend will continue through the week across
the region with widespread highs in the upper 80s to mid 90s
expected by Friday. On and off chances for showers and
thunderstorms return to the northern Plains Friday night and into
the weekend. Temperatures are favored to cool down closer to
normal for next work week.
