...HEAT INDEX VALUES IN THE MID 90S THIS AFTERNOON...

The combination of very warm temperatures in the mid to upper 80s
along with high dewpoints in the lower to mid 70s will result in
heat index values approaching or slightly exceeding 95 degrees in
northern parts of the Capital District, upper Hudson Valley into
Bennington and northern Berkshire counties this afternoon.

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Take extra
precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting
clothing and try to limit strenuous activities.
