...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT CENTRAL ALBANY COUNTY THROUGH
515 PM EDT...

At 441 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Berne, or 11 miles west of Delmar, moving east at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Albany, Delmar, Guilderland, Berne, Voorheesville, Altamont, Feura
Bush, New Scotland, Knox, Clarksville, East Berne, Slingerlands,
Meadowdale, South Albany, Spawn Hollow, Callanans Corners, Karlsfeld,
Keefers Corners, Reidsville, and Bramans Corners.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 90 between exits 1W and 24.
 Interstate 87 near exit 24.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 800 PM EDT for
east central New York.
