...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT EAST CENTRAL CAMDEN AND CENTRAL
CURRITUCK COUNTIES THROUGH 415 PM EDT...

At 334 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Indiantown, or 7 miles south of Currituck, moving northeast at 10
mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph, heavy rain, and frequent
         lightning.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Reduced visibility and minor flooding
         possible. Frequent cloud to ground lightning strikes.

This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of east central Camden
and central Currituck Counties, including the following locations...
Barco, Coinjock, Riddle, Aydlett, Waterlily, Bartlett, and Maple.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM EDT for
northeastern North Carolina.
