PERQUIMANS...EASTERN BERTIE...SOUTHEASTERN GATES...CENTRAL CURRITUCK AND NORTHWESTERN CHOWAN COUNTIES THROUGH 615 PM EDT... At 524 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 6 miles east of Hobbsville to Belvidere to near Tyner. Movement was east at 35 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and heavy rain. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down small trees and blow around unsecured objects. Wind impacting handling of high profile vehicles. Reduced visibility and minor flooding possible. Strong thunderstorms will be near... Hertford, Winfall, and Chapanoke around 530 PM EDT. Elizabeth City around 535 PM EDT. Burgess around 540 PM EDT. Elizabeth City State University and Nixonton around 545 PM EDT. Camden and Whitehall Shores around 550 PM EDT. Weeksville around 555 PM EDT. Indiantown and Shiloh around 600 PM EDT.
