The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Eastern Lincoln County in central New Mexico...
  Southwestern De Baca County in east central New Mexico...
  Northwestern Chaves County in southeastern New Mexico...

* Until 445 PM MDT.

* At 413 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Ramon, or 33
  miles southeast of Vaughn, moving southeast at 5 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
           to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
  Ramon.

This includes Highway 285 between Mile Markers 158 and 178.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
