...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT EAST CENTRAL RIO ARRIBA COUNTY
THROUGH 300 PM MDT...

At 235 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Petaca, or 26 miles west of Taos. This storm was nearly stationary.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Canon Plaza, Vallecitos, Petaca, La Madera, and Las Tablas.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If threatening weather approaches your area, take shelter in a sturdy
building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
