...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTH CENTRAL COLFAX COUNTY
THROUGH 315 PM MDT...

At 248 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Raton, moving east at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Raton, Sugarite, and Raton Crews Airport.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 25 between Mile Markers 438 and 456.
 Highway 64 between Mile Markers 335 and 351.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If threatening weather approaches your area, take shelter in a sturdy
building.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM MDT for
northeastern New Mexico.
