...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 600 PM MDT
FOR EASTERN CUSTER...NORTHEASTERN OGLALA LAKOTA AND SOUTHEASTERN
PENNINGTON COUNTIES...

At 527 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over western
Badlands National Park, or 43 miles southeast of Rapid City, moving
east at 45 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted include...
Kyle, Scenic, Thunder Valley, Kyle North Route Housing, Rockyford,
western Badlands National Park, Sheep Mountain Table, and Pine Ridge
Reservation.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

This storm is producing large quantities of hail. Driving through
deep hail is like driving on slushy roads. Slow down and do not brake
suddenly.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
