At 528 PM, National Weather Service radar detected scattered
showers and thunderstorms, some with heavy rain mainly over much of
eastern Oklahoma and into northwest Arkansas. Thunderstorms with
locally heavy rain were located in Ottawa, Choctaw and Mayes
counties in Oklahoma. The precipitation was in the Tulsa and
Bentonville, Rogers and Fayetteville areas. Movement was to the
northeast at around 15 mph. The average amount where it rained last
hour was around one tenth of an inch with maximum amounts of two to
two and a half inches. Intensity decreased during the last hour. The
Tulsa area forecast for late this afternoon and early this evening,
cloudy, showers and thunderstorms likely with temperatures 73 to 82
degrees and southeast winds up to 5 mph.
