At 542 PM, National Weather Service radar detected isolated showers
and thunderstorms, some with heavy rain mostly west of a
Bartlesville to McAlester line and also in Arkansas west of I49.
Thunderstorms with locally heavy rain were located in Mcintosh,
Tulsa and Creek counties in Oklahoma and was more widespread in
northcentral Oklahoma. Movement was to the east at around 15 mph.
The average amount where it rained last hour was around one quarter
of an inch with maximum amounts of an inch to an inch and a half.
Coverage, and intensity increased during the last hour. The Tulsa
area forecast for late this afternoon and early this evening, mostly
cloudy, thunderstorms and showers likely. Some thunderstorms may be
severe .
