225 WGUS83 KTOP 011106 FLSTOP Flood Advisory National Weather Service Topeka KS 606 AM CDT Mon Jul 1 2024 KSC111-011415- /O.NEW.KTOP.FA.Y.0030.240701T1106Z-240701T1415Z/ /00000.N.ER.000000T0000Z.000000T0000Z.000000T0000Z.OO/ Lyon KS- 606 AM CDT Mon Jul 1 2024 ...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 915 AM CDT THIS MORNING... * WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of east central Kansas, including the following county, Lyon. * WHEN...Until 915 AM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 605 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 1 and 3.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Allen, Admire and Bushong. - This includes Kansas Turnpike between mile markers 139 and 152. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads.
