The areas affected include... Anegada Passage east of Virgin Gorda and Saint Croix south to 17N... Atlantic Waters of Puerto Rico AND USVI from 10 NM to 19.5N... Coastal Waters from Cabo San Juan to the waters between Anegada Island and Virgin Gorda and North 10 NM... Coastal Waters of Northern Puerto Rico out 10 NM... Mona Passage Southward to 17N... At 310 AM AST, Doppler radar and satellite imagery indicated strong thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. These thunderstorms were located across the Anegada Passage, Mona Passage and Atlantic Offshore Waters, moving north to north-northwest at 10 to 15 knots. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher waves, and lightning strikes.
