...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1000 PM CDT
FOR NORTHWESTERN CHRISTIAN AND GREENE COUNTIES...

At 938 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Willard to Springfield to 7 miles east of
Battlefield, moving east at 35 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Emergency management. At 930 pm, emergency management
         reported wind damage.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
         roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted include...
Springfield, Nixa, Ozark, Republic, Battlefield, Willard, Strafford,
Clever, Fremont Hills, Brookline, Glidewell, Ebenezer, Turners, Bois
D`arc, Cave Springs, Boaz, and Galloway.

This includes Interstate 44 between mile markers 59 and 86.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature`s leading
killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to
be struck by lightning.
