NORTHEASTERN TANEY...EASTERN CHRISTIAN AND SOUTHEASTERN GREENE
COUNTIES THROUGH 1030 PM CDT...

At 1000 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Strafford to 6 miles east of Sparta to
near Taneyville. Movement was east at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Northeastern Springfield, Marshfield, Rogersville, Ava, Strafford,
Seymour, Sparta, Fordland, Niangua, Diggins, Oldfield, Turners,
Brownbranch, Elkhead, Bruner, Keltner, Northview, Garrison, Rome, and
Chadwick.

This includes Interstate 44 between mile markers 82 and 100.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
