Weather hazards expected... Slight thunderstorm wind damage risk. Marginal hail risk. Marginal tornado risk. Significant lightning risk. Elevated excessive heat risk. Elevated excessive rainfall risk. DISCUSSION... The heat and humidity will remain in place across the area through today. Heat index values will range from 95 to 109 degrees this afternoon into this evening. Highest heat index values are expected south of Highway 60. Some lingering showers and storms will continue to push east across portions of central Missouri pushing out of the area this morning. No severe weather will occur with these storms. Additional scattered storms are expected to develop late this afternoon into this evening. Some storms may be strong to severe with large hail to quarters and damaging straight line winds to 60 mph. Heavy rain and localized flooding will also be possible. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.
