Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Western Washington
National Weather Service Seattle WA
329 PM PDT Sat Jul 6 2024

...HEAT ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM PDT SUNDAY FOR THE COASTAL
AREAS...
...HEAT ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM PDT TUESDAY FOR THE INTERIOR...
...RED FLAG WARNING FOR HOT, DRY, AND UNSTABLE CONDITIONS IN EFFECT
UNTIL 11 PM PDT TUESDAY FOR FIRE WEATHER ZONES 658 and 659...

.DISCUSSION...Upper level ridge centered offshore will move over
Western Washington Monday into Tuesday. This will maintain very hot
and dry conditions across much of the area. These conditions along
with increased instability will maintain critical conditions over the
Cascades. Expect very poor overnight recoveries along with these
critical daytime conditions. Meanwhile, elevated fire weather
concern linger for lower elevations near and east of Puget Sound
through early this week. Increasing onshore flow around Wednesday will
bring some improvement into the second half of the week.

Forecast for 20 foot wind speed (valleys and ridge tops) are 10
 minute averages reflecting RAWS winds.
