Low relative humidity values resulting from exceptionally dry weather will impose an increased risk for fire danger this afternoon. Relative humidity values are expected to drop into the 20-30 percent range during peak heating hours across the lower elevations of West Virginia and 30 to 40 percent along the higher terrain. In addition, wind gusts out of the east-southeast on the upwards of 10 to 20 miles per hour will be possible, highest along the mountains. Avoid activities that cause open flames or sparks as fires can spread within these weather conditions. $$
