...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN CABELL...
SOUTHWESTERN PUTNAM...LINCOLN...NORTHWESTERN LOGAN AND NORTHWESTERN
BOONE COUNTIES THROUGH 130 PM EDT...

At 1259 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 8 miles east of Beech Fork State Park to near
Chapmanville. Movement was northeast at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Madison, Hamlin, Hurricane, Milton, Chapmanville, Ranger, Ona,
Culloden, Spurlockville, Harts, Gill, Julian, Alum Creek, West
Hamlin, Danville, Turtle Creek, Salt Rock, Palermo, Alkol, and Mud.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 64 in West Virginia between mile markers 23 and 34.
 Route 119 between mile markers 34 and 64.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
