.DISCUSSION...
High humidity and temperatures in the mid 90s this afternoon will
provide heat index values around 100 across the lowlands. Anyone
without effective cooling and adequate hydration may be adversely
affected by the heat today.
A more active weather pattern returns this evening with showers and
strong to severe thunderstorms affecting mainly southeast Ohio late
this afternoon and evening.
Thunderstorms will become more widespread for the Fourth of July
holiday, as a cold front crosses the area. Some storms could
produce damaging winds and localized flash flooding.
The cold front will stall near the area, keeping chances of showers
and thunderstorms on Friday as it returns northward as a warm front.
Yet another cold front will push through Friday night.
A high pressure system will then build in on Saturday, with any
remaining precipitation tapering off. The high will continue to
provide dry weather for the remainder of the weekend.
