.DISCUSSION...
Calm and mostly clear conditions under high pressure will allow for
valley fog early this morning, though not as widespread as last
night.
Temperatures will remain above normal through the week. Today and
Tuesday will feature the hottest afternoons, with highs in the low
to mid 90s, and heat index values in the mid 90s to lower 100s for
the lowlands. Shower and thunderstorm chances will also increase
through the week, especially towards midweek, with a few
disturbances, including the remnants of tropical system Beryl.
Once that system exits, the weather pattern then gradually settles
into a more typical mid-summer regime, with the chance for mainly
diurnal showers and thunderstorms that could actually decrease
through next weekend, amid building heat.
