A few thunderstorms with dry lightning strikes and gusty outflow
winds are possible this weekend. Hot temperatures with highs
around 100 degrees for lower valleys will persist through the
middle of next week, then cool down to more typical July values by
late next week, with increased breezes.

Plan on isolated afternoon thunderstorm chances in higher terrain
with primary risks of gusty outflow winds, locally heavy rain,
lightning and small hail through the next few days. Hot
temperatures for valleys and foothills west of the Sierra crest
will persist into early next week, then cool down to more typical
July values by late next week, with increased breezes.
