Showers and isolated thunderstorms with a few dry lightning
strikes are possible this afternoon and again on Sunday across
the eastern district. These storms will be capable of strong and
gusty outflow winds. Hot temperatures with highs around 100
degrees for lower valleys will persist through the middle of next
week, then cool down to more typical July values by late next
week with increased breezes.

Thunderstorms will possible this afternoon across portions of the
eastern Sierra mainly south of US-50. Localized heavy rain,
frequent lightning, and strong thunderstorm outflow winds will be
possible. Isolated storm chances will persist into early next
week along with hot temperatures for valleys and foothills west
of the Sierra crest. A cool down to more typical July values is
expected by late next week with increased breezes.

Area of showers and thunderstorms will possible this afternoon
across portions of the E.Sierra mainly south of US-50. Localized
heavy rain, frequent lightning, and strong thunderstorm outflow
winds will be possible. Hot temperatures with highs above
100 degrees for the Chalfant and Owens valleys will persist
through the middle of next week, then slowly cool down to more
typical July values by late next week.
