Fire Weather Planning Forecast
National Weather Service Reno NV
1252 PM PDT Thu Jul 4 2024

.DISCUSSION...

A long duration heatwave will give way to well above normal temperatures,
low daytime humidities with poor overnight recoveries, and deep afternoon
mixing heights through the middle of next week. Increased afternoon breezes
across the Sierra and Sierra Front are expected Sunday, likely resulting
in a multi-hour period of elevated to locally critical fire weather conditions
Sunday afternoon.

Note: Thunderstorms imply gusty and erratic winds.
Note: Mixing Heights are in feet above ground level of the valley floors.
Note: Please see operating plan for detailed zone descriptions
