...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT SOUTHWESTERN WAYNE...NORTHERN
SAMPSON AND SOUTHEASTERN JOHNSTON COUNTIES THROUGH 800 PM EDT...

At 705 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms 12 miles north of Clinton, moving northeast at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Smithfield, Clinton, Benson, Four Oaks, Roseboro, Newton Grove,
Salemburg, Hobbton, Mar-Mac, and Spivey`s Corner.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
