.DISCUSSION...

An upper trough to the north will keep the threat of showers and
thunderstorms in place across the burn area today through late
this afternoon, with the main threat being gusty and erratic
outflow winds and cloud to ground lightning. A warming and drying
trend settles in for Wednesday through Saturday, with lighter
winds anticipated over the weekend.

Sky/weather.........Partly sunny. Chance of rain showers until
                    0800, then slight chance. Slight chance of
                    thunderstorms until 1600.
LAL.................2 until 0900, then 3 until 1000, then 2 until
                    1600, then 1.
Max temperature.....63-66F.
Min humidity........21-26 percent.
Wind (20 ft)........Southwest winds 6-9 mph until 0900, then
                    west 10-14 mph with gusts to 20 mph. Gusty and
                    erratic winds expected near thunderstorms
                    until 1600.
Mixing height.......2000 ft agl until 0900, then 8500 ft agl.
Transport winds.....West around 23 mph.
Smoke dispersal.....Poor until 0800. Excellent after 1100.
Haines Index........4 or low potential for large plume dominated
                    fire growth.
