Fire Weather Planning Forecast FOR S Cntrl and Sern Colorado
National Weather Service Pueblo Co
650 PM MDT Sun Jul 7 2024

.Discussion...

Showers and thunderstorms will continue across southeast across the Plains
overnight. Lightning, hail and gusty winds will be the
main thunderstorm risks. Thunderstorm focus shifts to over the higher
terrain Monday through Friday. Daily afternoon and evening storms
are expected. Temperatures will also be on the rise through the week
with 90s to near 100 on the Plains by Friday into Saturday. Near
critical fire weather conditions return to the area next weekend
due to low humidity values and hot temperatures, however, winds look
to be the limiting factor at this time.

Smoke dispersions will be excellent into this evening, becoming poor
overnight. Good to very good dispersions are forecast for Monday.

--- thunderstorms imply strong gusty and erratic winds ---
