Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Southwest and South-Central
Arizona and Southeast California
National Weather Service Phoenix AZ
1210 PM MST Sun Jul 7 2024

.DISCUSSION...
Hot and dry conditions continue as high pressure dominates
overhead. Afternoon high temperatures will generally be in the 110-
120 range across the lower deserts and in the 95-110 range in the
higher terrain. MinRHs will be in the 5-15% range with overnight
recoveries in the 30-50% range. Winds will tend to follow their
typical diurnal patterns. Wind gusts of 20-30 mph are possible this
afternoon and early evening, for the eastern districts. Elsewhere,
winds will remain fairly light with some occasional afternoon and
early evening gusts up around 15-20 mph. Winds Monday and Tuesday
across the region will be fairly light with some occasional gusts
up around 20 mph possible in the afternoon. The hot and dry
conditions will keep the fire danger high.

...Thunderstorms imply gusty winds...
