523 FNUS55 KPSR 192135 FWFPSR Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Southwest and South-Central Arizona and Southeast California National Weather Service Phoenix AZ 235 PM MST Fri Jul 19 2024 .DISCUSSION... Thunderstorms will continue to develop each afternoon and continue through the evening and early overnight hours, most commonly across the higher terrain areas of northern and eastern AZ. Strong gusty outflow winds will be the primary impact from any thunderstorm, and outflows will be capable of traveling long distances away from the parent storms. In addition to the winds, any thunderstorm will be capable of producing wetting rain, but coverage of storms will be isolated to scattered. A slight shift in the weather pattern will lead to high storm chances Sunday and better potential for storms to survive into the lower deserts of South-Central AZ. Aside from thunderstorm winds, general winds across the region will follow typical diurnal trends with afternoon upslope flow and occasional gusts up to 20-25 mph. Minimum humidity levels will mostly range from 15-25% following a wide range of overnight recovery from 20% in western districts to 75% in the far east. ...Thunderstorms imply gusty winds...
