...Funnel Clouds and Landspout Tornadoes Possible This
Afternoon...

There have been reports of funnel clouds and landspouts this
afternoon. These features are developing underneath thunderstorms
moving across the area. Underneath these storms...spinning
columns of air that look like tornadoes may continue to develop.
These funnels usually are very brief and seldom touch the ground.
Because of their nature, National Weather Service radars struggle
to detect rotation within these types of thunderstorms. If these
funnels do touch down...they will be very weak and will most
likely not cause damage to life or property.
