...FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM CDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive
  rainfall continues.

* WHERE...Portions of southern Illinois, including the following
  county, Jackson and southeast Missouri, including the following
  county, Perry.

* WHEN...Until 700 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 236 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
    indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause
    urban and small stream flooding. Between 0.5 and 2.5 inches
    of rain have fallen.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Carbondale, Perryville, Murphysboro, De Soto, Hurst, Grand
    Tower, Altenburg, Cedar Lake Area, Makanda, Frohna, Gorham,
    Longtown, Old Appleton, Lithium and Silver Lake.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
