* Special Marine Warning for...

  New York Harbor...

* Until 730 PM EDT.

* At 702 PM EDT, strong thunderstorms were located along a line
  extending from 7 nm west of Upper New York Harbor to Raritan Bay,
  moving east at 20 knots.

  HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater and small hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and
           suddenly higher waves.

* Locations impacted include...
  The Verrazano Narrows Bridge, Raritan Bay, Upper New York Harbor,
  and Lower New York Harbor.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until these storms pass.
Wind gusts 34 knots or greater, small hail, high waves, lightning,
and heavy rain are expected with these storms. If caught on the open
water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded metal
objects.
