The areas affected include...
New York Harbor...
At 818 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable
of producing winds to around 30 knots. These thunderstorms were
located along a line extending from 7 nm north of Raritan Bay to Port
Monmouth, moving east at 15 knots.
Locations impacted include...
Sandy Hook Bay, The Verrazano Narrows Bridge, Raritan Bay, and Lower
New York Harbor.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher
waves, lightning strikes, and heavy downpours. Boaters should seek
safe harbor immediately until these storms pass.
