.SYNOPSIS...Recently upgraded Hurricane Ernesto is just N of the
area located about 150 nm NW of San Juan, Puerto, or near 20.5N
67.6W at 11 AM EDT. It is moving northwest at 14 kt. Maximum
sustained winds are 65 kt with gusts to 80 kt, and the minimum
central pressure is 991 mb. Ernesto is forecast to continue to
strengthen as it moves to near 22.3N 68.7W this evening and to
near 24.5N 69.2W Thu morning with maximum sustained winds 80 kt
gusts 100 kt. A general northward motion at a slower forward
speed while it gradually strengthens as it moves across the
western Atlantic, reaching near Bermuda Sat morning. Marine
conditions will begin to gradually improve across the area Thu
night through Fri. Atlantic high pressure will build westward
across the region along 21N Fri through the weekend.
