...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM CDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of southeast Mississippi, including the
  following counties, Greene and Perry.

* WHEN...Until 1000 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 721 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms
    producing very heavy rainfall. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain
    is estimated to have fallen over much of the advisory area
    with these slow moving thunderstorms. Minor flooding is
    ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Beaumont, New Augusta, McLain, Little Creek, Ferguson,
    Progress, Hintonville, Wingate, Oak Grove, Neely, Leaf, Byrd,
    Barbara, Mahned, Janice, Avera, Bradley, Bothwell and
    Belleville.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
