.Discussion...
Hot conditions will continue early this week, with Heat Advisories
possible on Monday. Regardless of whether any Advisories are issued,
heat indices are forecast to reach at least 102-107 through Tuesday,
with high temperatures in the lower to mid-90s.
Southerly winds through Monday will back southeasterly behind the
daily sea breeze, increasing to around 10mph behind it. By Tuesday,
winds become southwesterly, but still back southeast behind the
sea breeze along the coast. Increasing coverage of showers and storms
is forecast through mid-week, with the sea breeze collision occurring
on the eastern half of the peninsula. Shower and storm chances become
up to 60-70%. Storm threats will remain locally gusty winds 35 to 45
mph, cloud-to-ground lightning strikes, and locally heavy rainfall.
No min RH concerns. Fair to generally good dispersion is forecast
each day.
Fog potential and other remarks...Widespread fog is not forecast.
Localized visibility reductions due to smoke from new or existing
fires will be possible even if fog is not forecast.
