Issued at 1000 PM EDT Fri Jul 5 2024 The east coast sea breeze was not as active across ECFL today as previous day, with only a few showers developing along the sea breeze across the interior this afternoon. The sea breeze collision occurred across western FL, around the Sumter and Polk county area, sparking scattered to numerous showers and lightning storms across Western Florida. Temperatures as of 10 PM are in the upper 70s to low 80s with dew points in the low to mid 70s. A couple showers in Sumter county are moving back into Lake county this evening, but any lingering activity is expected to dissipate or move out of the local area over the next hour or two. Otherwise, mostly dry conditions expected over land areas tonight. Isolated lightning storms will be possible across the far offshore waters overnight, mainly south of Cape Canaveral. Light and variable winds forecast through tonight and into Saturday morning. Temperatures tonight will be in the low to mid 70s. && .AVIATION... (00Z TAFs) Issued at 742 PM EDT Fri Jul 5 2024 VFR conditions through the TAF period. Light and variable winds overnight and into Saturday. The east coast sea breeze is forecast to form and push inland in the afternoon, veering the winds easterly and increasing the winds to 5-10 KT behind the sea breeze. The sea breeze collision is expected to happen a little farther east then the last couple days, over our interior sites. Have included VCTS starting at 20Z for all our inland terminals, with VCSH at 20Z for DAB. Will likely add TEMPOs for interior sites in later packages. Winds will become light and variable once again on Saturday night. && .MARINE... Issued at 254 PM EDT Fri Jul 5 2024 Daily chances for showers and storms will persist through the end of the period. Outside of convection, generally favorable boating conditions are forecast, with seas 1-3ft. Onshore winds this weekend will veer south to southwesterly into next week. However, will see winds back southeasterly each afternoon, as the sea breeze develops. Winds remaining under 15kts. && .PRELIMINARY POINT TEMPS/POPS...
