This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for Atlantic coastal waters,
southeast Florida, southern Florida, southwest Florida and Gulf of
Mexico.

DAY ONE: Today and Tonight.

Thunderstorms: Scattered thunderstorms will develop today, mainly in the
afternoon with the highest chances over the interior and west coast
regions under an easterly flow. The strongest storms could contain
wind gusts up to 40mph, frequent lightning, and heavy downpours.

Excessive Heat: Peak heat index values are likely to range between 105
and 112, with the higher values expected across western and interior
portions of the region. Localized spots could exceed A Heat Advisory
is in effect today for Miami-Dade, Broward, and Collier counties.

Rip Currents: There is a moderate risk for rip currents along the east
coast beaches.


DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN: Monday through Sunday.

Scattered to numerous thunderstorms will be possible through the weekend
and into early next week. The strongest storms could produce gusty
winds, frequent lightning, and heavy downpours.

Slow storm motions could result in localized flooding, particularly near
the metro areas.

Heat indices in excess of 100 degrees, up to around 110 degrees, are likely
into early next week. This may prompt the issuance of further heat
advisories through this period.

An elevated risk of rip currents may persist along the east coast through
the weekend and into early next week with a persistent east to
southeast onshore flow.
