Fire Weather Planning Forecast for West Texas/Southeast New Mexico
National Weather Service Midland/Odessa TX
311 PM CDT Mon Jul 15 2024

.DISCUSSION...

Fire weather concerns will remain low as min RH above critical
15%, good overnight recovery, abundant moisture, and light winds
persist. Afternoon storms from heating of elevated terrain could
pose a risk of fire starts from lightning and gusty, erratic
winds over the Davis Mountains into lower Trans Pecos, but otherwise
fire weather conditions are not likely. Slighty cooler high
temperatures falling below normal and increased rain chances
by the end of next week into next weekend lead to very low fire
weather concerns.
