A cold front will push south of the area today, with the greatest chance for showers and a few thunderstorms across central Virginia and southern Maryland. The front will stall over the Carolinas tonight and Friday as high pressure builds across the Great Lakes. As the front lifts back north this weekend into early next week, the chance for periodic showers and thunderstorms will increase. Most notably however, temperatures should remain near or slightly below normal into next week. $$
