.Synopsis for the southern California coast and Santa Barbara
Channel including the Channel Islands National Marine Sanctuary
and National Park...at 20Z, or 1 PM PDT, a 1031 mb surface high was
centered 350 NM northwest of Portland, Oregon. A 1007 mb thermal
low was centered near Needles, CA with a trough of low pressure
extending NW through central CA. Areas of dense fog will affect the
waters tonight and Friday morning. Gusty NW winds will affect
mainly the outer coastal waters this afternoon through Friday night.
