387 FZUS61 KBUF 060154 GLFLO Open Lake Forecast for Lake Ontario National Weather Service Buffalo NY 954 PM EDT Fri Jul 5 2024 For waters beyond five nautical miles of shore on Lake Ontario Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum. .SYNOPSIS...A 29.7 inch low over lower Michigan will move across the lower Great Lakes through Saturday before moving down the Saint Lawrence Valley Sunday. A cold front from this low will cross the lake late Friday night. A 30.1 inch high will build into the Ohio Valley and New England Sunday night through Monday before drifting off the east coast Tuesday. A 29.7 inch area of low pressure will lift across the Central Great Lakes Tuesday night, with a warm front extending towards the lake. As this low moves across southern Quebec Wednesday a cold front will cross the lake early in the day.
