Chandeleur Sound... Coastal waters from Pascagoula Mississippi to Stake Island out 20 NM... Mississippi Sound... At 202 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated a cluster of strong thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. This cluster of thunderstorms is generally located along a line extending from 8 nm northwest of Mississippi Sound to near Portersville Bay, moving south at 20 knots. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Mariners can expect widespread gusty winds to around 30 knots, higher waves, and dangerous lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until this activity passes. This cluster of strong thunderstorms will likely produce winds to around 30 knots, and could pose a serious hazard for boaters. A special marine warning may eventually be required when this activity reaches the nearshore waters.
