Weather Summary for Western and North Central Nebraska

Severe thunderstorms producing wind gusts of 75 to 100 mph rolled
through South Dakota Saturday night. Some of these high winds
moved through northern Nebraska and gusts to around 60 mph were
recorded at Valentine and O`Neill early this morning.

Today, an upper level ridge of high pressure centered across the
southern Rockies will continue to produce hot weather across
western and north central Nebraska with high temperatures ranging
from the mid and upper 90s across north central Nebraska to 100 to
105 degrees across western Nebraska. A Heat Advisory is in effect
for heat indices of 100 degrees or higher in both areas today.
Isolated thunderstorms are also possible across western Nebraska
late this afternoon and this evening.
