.DISCUSSION...
Deep afternoon mixing today will lead to favorable ventilation,
while mixing heights diminish tomorrow with scattered
thunderstorms and prolific cloud cover. Showers and storms will
become more widespread Tuesday into Wednesday as the remnants of
tropical storm Beryl lift into central or southeast Illinois. This
system is expected to bring a corridor of heavy rain to a portion
of the area, although precisely where is impossible to nail down
just yet. South of I-72, there is a 10-15% chance for more than 3
inches of rain by Wednesday afternoon.
