.DISCUSSION...

The extreme heat continues for the region with the hottest day
of the heat wave anticipated for this afternoon across the
region. The wind will be lighter, still afternoon and evening
gusts are expected. Temperatures only trend down a
couple of degrees this week ahead with low RH values and
poor overnight recoveries expected.

.TODAY...

Sky/weather.........Sunny (0-5 percent). Areas of smoke and haze.
Max temperature.....108 to 112.
Min humidity........10 to 15 percent.
Eye level winds.....North 3 to 6 mph becoming southeast 4 to 8 mph
                    by 0900. Shifting to West 5 to 8 mph with gusts
                    to 13 mph after 1600.
Surrounding ridge...North to Northwest wind 3 to 8 mph Backing to the
                    southwest from 0900 to 1300. Southwest to West
                    wind by 1500 increasing to 8 to 13 mph with
