...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 PM PDT THIS EVENING...

.DISCUSSION...A surge of tropical moisture will provide for
scattered showers and thunderstorms across the Sierra Nevada
through this evening. Since these thunderstorms are moisture
deficient, dry lightning will remain possible and a Red Flag
Warning will continue. A cooling trend will take place across
the area through the middle of the week with drier conditions
becoming more predominant by Tuesday.

Sky/weather.........Partly sunny. Chance of showers and thunderstorms.
Max temperature.....81-83.
Min humidity........23-28 percent.
Eye level winds.....Upslope 2 to 5 mph.
Surrounding ridge...Southwest 5 to 10 mph.
Mixing height.......Rising to around 9000 ft AGL.
Transport winds.....Southwest 12 mph.

                    winds expected near thunderstorms.
