...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHWESTERN THOMAS AND SOUTH
CENTRAL RAWLINS COUNTIES THROUGH 230 PM CDT...

At 153 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 5
miles northeast of Brewster, moving east at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is
         possible.

This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of northwestern Thomas
and south central Rawlins Counties.

This includes Interstate 70 in Kansas between mile markers 36 and 56.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 800 PM CDT for
northwestern Kansas.
